1. Eligibility for Bringing Dependents

  • Students on Long-Stay Visas: If you are on a long-stay student visa (VLS-TS), you may be eligible to bring your spouse and children to France under certain conditions.

2. Visa Application Process for Dependents

    • Proof of the student’s enrollment in a French educational institution
    • Proof of financial means
    • Health insurance covering the entire stay in France
    • Accommodation proof showing suitable living arrangements for the family

3. Residence Permits

  • After Arrival: Once in France, dependents will need to apply for a residence permit similar to the primary student. The process involves visiting the local prefecture and providing necessary documentation.

4. Work Rights for Dependents

  • Spouse's Right to Work: In general, spouses of students are not automatically granted the right to work in France. However, they may apply for a work permit separately.
